Go on, give her a click

Sophie is six. She designs them.

She draws each animal, then builds it into a 3D model with her dad. Our printer makes it overnight at the kitchen table, and she tests every single one. If it is not clicky enough, it does not get made.

Her mum checks the quality. Her dad runs the machine and does the boring bits. Every animal is designed by a kid, for kids, and printed here in Scotland.

Sophie won GoHenry's Dream Big

GoHenry run a competition called Dream Big for children with a business idea. Sophie entered with the Clicky Coo, and in August they picked her as one of the winners.

The prize was one thousand pounds. It bought the printer, the plastic, the packaging and the wee keyboard switches that make the click. So the whole business exists because a six-year-old entered a competition and won it, which we think is a decent way to start.

What makes a Clicky Coo

Designed by a six-year-old

Not a slogan. Sophie draws every animal, picks the colours, and scores each one out of five. If it is not clicky enough, it does not get made.

They all have names

Hamish, Angus, Nutmeg, Hattie and Isla. Each one lives in something, and each one has a personality Sophie decided on.

No batteries, no screens

Just a proper mechanical click, the kind you can do absent-mindedly for an hour without anyone asking for a charger.

Made in Scotland, in our kitchen

Printed a few at a time on one machine, checked by hand, packed with a doodle on the card and posted out twice a week.

The first five

Press the animal and it sinks into its wee hoose with a proper, satisfying click. Hamish leads the way.

Hamish

the highland coo,
out of a hay bale

Angus

the Scottie dog,
out of a basket

Nutmeg

the red squirrel,
out of a tree stump

Hattie

the wild haggis,
out of a cooking pot

Isla

the unicorn,
out of a thistle patch

Three ways to have one

How one gets made

Sophie designs it

She draws the animal, then we build it into a 3D model together.

The printer makes it

Layer by layer, in four colours, overnight in our kitchen.

It lands at your door

Hand-packed with a doodle on the card, posted out twice a week.

For businesses: swag people actually keep

We print your logo, or your own mascot, as a chunky wee fidget clicker or keyring in your brand colours, with an NFC chip sealed inside.

Someone taps it with their phone, your website opens.

Conference pens get lost. Stress balls get binned. A clicker lives on a desk and gets picked up every day. Runs from 50 units, with no tooling charge and no minimum of 500.
